Chavara Integrated Family Development Project

37 selected poor fishermen families of Eriyad Panchayat are the target group of this project. Great progress is seen since the few years KESS has been actively empowering and motivating the children, men and women folk of these families. The mostly illiterate parents are now well aware of the need to educate their children, and the children are active participants of all sessions that KESS conducts for their development and better future. The community is now more aware about their health, economy and living standards. The Mar Thomas Pontifical Shrine and the Mar Thomas Research Centre at Azhikode have played an equally exceptional part in collaborating with KESS to bring a continuous impact in the lives of these people.
